We ate here last week as part of their 65th anniversary celebration. What fun!! Giorgio's was packed and the wait was over an hour, but the staff was gracious and were seemingly having fun serving food at insanely low prices:-) We were treated to a great meal (as usual) for $7. Since we dine at Giorgio's regularly, we will definitely return. Good food, good service, fair prices. No wonder it has become an institution!
As I enter this restaurant to my surprise it was not packed like I assumed it would be though I expect it soon will be And it is a bit lively atmosphere I was immediately shown to a table I ordered some water and Italian strawberry soda then and cheese Ravioli marinara sauce from a nice server My brother had pasta And my mom had seafood pasta We were served a little later It's quite good but I was a little disappointed I was not able to fill my belly 4/5 star
This is by far some of the best service I've had in a restaurant our service was by Luis. The place looks amazing they have patio dining, indoor dining, and bar area. I had a margarita for $6 #winning. I had the chicken prawn lemone (i think) very delicious my bf had the prawn grigola delicious as well. Huge portions of food we ordered the calamari as an appetizer and boy that itself with the bread and the salad made me full i had left overs once again #winning lunch for tomorrow. Even the check and check out was fast. I will be returning it
Been coming to Giorgio's for years and they've always been amazing. From their bread and butter, to their salads, to the calzones, to their giant meatball, everything is fantastic here. Love the paintings on the walls of the Italian countryside. Waiters are always really friendly, and attentive. I'll be a regular for years to come.
Growing up on the west side of San Jose Giorgio's on Foxworthy has been the gold standard that I judge other Italian restaurants against. Reasonable prices, delicious food, excellent servers and generous portions. When they opened a Milpitas location my job had me in that area so I would frequently stop in for lunch. Because it was larger it became a favorite spot for my family birthdays, graduations and entertaining out of town guests. When I retired a few years ago I tended to stay closer to home. My youngest daughter was visiting and Giorgio's Milpitas came up in our conversation. We all agreed that it had been too long since we last enjoyed one of their delicious pizzas so off we went. I'm pleased to report that nothing has changed. After a very short wait we were seated. Our waiter brought a basket of their warm, fresh dinner rolls. I like the bread with the soft whipped herb butter they serve with it and my daughters prefer to dip theirs in olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We ordered a large pizza 1/2 Santa Margherita and 1/2 Giorgio's Special. We added fresh garlic and artichoke hearts to the Giorgio's Special. I like a crisp cool bite with hot pizza so I ordered a Wedge Salad, a cold 1/4 wedge of iceberg lettuce topped with chunky blue cheese dressing and big bits of bacon. It was obvious that the pizza was served fresh out of the oven. The cheese was liquid lava. The toppings were generous and perfectly cooked. The crust had the right amount of char to it. Risking burnt lips we had to dive right in. We had enough left for a generous snack for all of us at home. Now we are curious about Giorgio's new location in Morgan Hill which is closer to our home. Long live Giorgio's!!!
I'm still a fan since my first review in 2014. So when I'm in Milpitas, and in the mood for good Italian food, I think of this place. My favorite Meat and Pasta dish: Mostaccioli Di Bari which were bits of medium cooked filet mignon pieces in a creamy Brandy-infused Gorgonzola with mushroom sauce served and mixed with pasta. However, I swapped the Mostaccioli for cappellini $24.50 w/out soup or salad My favorite Seafood and Pasta dish: Linguine Cacciocco which hadseafoods of shrimps, clams, calamari and white fish which is simmered in light tomato broth and pasta is mixed in. But again I swapped out the linguine to cappellini. It comes with toasted bread spears in the dish. $29.50 w/out soup or salad In addition to my top 2 go to's , I have tried their Tuesday special of Cioppino. It had lots of fresh seafood and of course the crab legs on top. Their cioppino is a little different because they actually serve it with linguine and tomato broth. On top of the linguine and the seafood broth, you will see a whole area seafood on top, as well as toasted bread inside the bowl. It truly is a feast. Back in the day I couldn't remember they gave you Plastic bib to wear, but not now. The daily special (Tuesdays) came with a soup or salad. $34.50 The medium pepperoni was well baked and lots of pepperoni. Just be warned the pepperoni gives off a bit of oil. But it's an above average pizza. They had an after tax day promo for a medium pepperoni pizza for $10.40 so it was a great try me price. Complimentary Bread is often given, with a small star tipped dollop of whipped butter with herbs (I'm guessing salt, garlic powder and rosemary). The one negative I have is the breads are often too hard, but I'm there for the entrees right? Service has always been courteous, helpful and food arrives timely AND steaming or piping hot. Overall, highly recommended. if I could visit weekly, I certainly would. but for now, I visit when I want a special treat.
So this is my favorite Italian restaurant hands down! It's our go to, every time we're in the area. We don't live in the South Bay, but we always eat at Giorgio's because we know we're going to get a great meal and great service! Our server was a really nice young man, named Leo G, who was super friendly, knowledgeable, and kept checking in on us if we needed anything. We left him a good tip, because he worked really hard to make our visit memorable, and it was. Sunday nights at this restaurant can be at a medium noise level, but the food is worth it! My go to dish, is the lasagna; which is made with their house made sausages, instead of ground beef. The sausage bread is another favorite of ours too! Thanks for always making our dinners at your restaurant, enjoyable, fun, providing us with great memories. Overall 20 out of 10 Sincerely, Jonny Trinidad
We need to come here more often! Finding a proven Italian place in the South Bay is always a challenge. The meat ravioli, fettuccine and baked penne pasta all scored 5 stars. There is a small full bar with a a handful of tap beers. Our server was great too. We will be back!
